Technology Update:
• Two additional classrooms have been upgraded with ceilingmounted
projectors and sound systems

• Intermediate Indoor Soccer started – May & June on Days 1, 2 & 4

8 Co-Chairs Update:
PRO grant:
• May 6th at 6:30pm at the LWPS Library - “Digital Leadership: Helping Kids
Navigate Today’s Technology”. Council donated gift cards as door prizes
9 Co-Chairs Update (continued):
25th Anniversary BBQ on June 11th:
• Tattoo station, face painting, sticker station - confirmations of follow
• Fire it up is confirmed as a food vendor
• Ice Crean truck is confirmed
• Additional food truck is confirmed (this will not be advertised, but will be an
option for alumni and former staff guests and as a back-up for families who
didn’t pre-order)
Staff Appreciation
• For the last day of classes (afternoon) council is considering bringing ice
cream treats for the staff. To be confirmed.
10 Grad night:
Nikki introduced a motion to sponsor a surprise Ice Cream truck for grad
night ($250-300). Motion seconded by Julie. Motion carried.
10 Additional LWPS Wish list items:
• Document cameras upgrade - $1,497.19 for 3 new cameras. Motion
introduced by Olga, motion seconded by Julie. Motion carried
• Projectors - 2 additional projectors needed at approximately $4,000 each.
School Council to vote in June about contributing remaining funds (minus
$1,000) towards projectors.
